BY VAL TSOUTSOURIS

AKRON — New football locker room and weight room facilities were revealed to former Valley football players as part of the RSKA Boosters fundraiser Friday.

Tippecanoe Valley grad and radio broadcaster Micah Lukens speaks to a group of Valley football alums on the field at Smith-Bibler Memorial Stadium Home of Death Valley Football Friday. Lukens explained some historically significant moments in Valley football history. He also said the field has had new tile and improved drainage put in since the end of last season and that a new playing surface, new goalposts and a new scoreboard will be added before the end of the summer. Valley is also expected to replace the track surrounding the field.

These are views of the new weight room at Tippecanoe Valley High School. Weight sessions typically start at 6 a.m. during the week. Brandon Webster runs the “Viking Strong” program.
