Mishawaka Marian 64, Tippecanoe Valley 39 (Saturday): Dawson Perkins had 14 points, five rebounds and three blocks, and Braden Shepherd had 13 points and six rebounds for the visiting Vikings in a loss to Class 3A, No. 2 Mishawaka Marian Saturday.
The loss snapped Valley’s five-game winning streak, which was their longest winning streak since the 2015-16 season.
“The Vikings’ shooting woes continues again tonight and fell to No. 2-ranked Mishawaka Marian,” coach Chad Patrick said in a statement. “Valley shot 32% from the field and just 14% from 3-point range.”
The Knights also had a 35-18 rebounding advantage and outscored Valley 17-4 from the foul line.
Mishawaka Marian also won the JV game 42-20.
