Dragons beat John Glenn for first time since 2009, first time at Bi-County since 2002

Argos 61, John Glenn 51 (Wednesday): Luke Stults scored 18 of his game-high 28 points in the second half, and Zhayne Hellums knocked three 3-pointers and scored 20 for the host Dragons in a win over John Glenn in a Bi-County Tournament quarterfinal at Phil Weybright Gymnasium Wednesday.
Mack Calhoun added six points, and Kenyan Beldon had five for Argos (3-9).
Kaden Lang had 13 points, and Joe Divine and Jude Nicks had 10 each for the Falcons (1-12), who lost their 11th straight game. John Glenn had won five of the last six Bi-County titles prior to this year.
Argos made 17 of 23 free throws while John Glenn missed their only attempt.
Argos led 27-11 at halftime.
Argos beat John Glenn for the first time since Feb, 20, 2009, and for the first time in a Bi-County game since a 66-65 overtime win in the 2002 quarterfinals.
Argos will play Class 1A, No. 5 Triton in the semifinals at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the LaVille main gym. John Glenn will play Culver in a consolation game at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the LaVille auxiliary gym.
