Rochester draws Milan in Team State Duals opener

The Rochester boys wrestling team drew Milan for its first-round match at the Indiana High School Wrestling Coaches Association Class 1A Team State Duals.

Start time is 2 p.m. Saturday at Adams Central High School.

The Rochester-Milan winner will face North Miami in the quarterfinals. North Miami, seeded No. 3, received a first-round bye.

Other teams receiving byes included top-seeded Adams Central, No. 2 Rensselaer and No. 4 Tell City.

Rochester is the defending Class 1A Team State champs. They won the tournament last year when Rochester hosted.

Rochester forfeited the 106, 113, 120, 150 and 175-pound weight classes at their last competition at Mooresville on Dec. 27-28.

Rochester hosts Tippecanoe Valley in a dual at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
