Boys basketball

Frontier 56, Pioneer 50 (Monday): Aidan Quillen scored 26 points, and Noah Miller hit a pair of 3-pointers and added 10 for the Panthers in a road loss to Frontier Monday.

Quillen made 10 of 10 free throws. As a team, Pioneer made 14 of 16.

Pioneer trailed 23-21 at halftime. Frontier extended the lead to 42-37 after three quarters.

Wyatt Wiese hit three treys and led Frontier with 21 points.

Pioneer has not beaten Frontier on the road since January 2019.

Aidan Quillen scored 17 points, and Shilloh Rine had 11, including five in the fourth quarter, as the host Panthers beat Faith Christian Saturday.

Pioneer led 30-23 at halftime, but Faith Christian climbed to within 35-31 after three quarters.

Pioneer won their third straight game to improve to 6-4. They also ended a three-year losing streak to Faith Christian.

Luke Miller had 13 points, and Luke Barrett added 10 for the Eagles, who lost their eighth consecutive game and fell to 1-9.
