The IHSAA announced a three-year “presenting partnership renewal” with the Indianapolis Colts, keeping in place an arrangement that began in 2009.
The partnership renewal ensures that the state championship games will continue to be played at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
“The IHSAA is so excited and grateful to continue this partnership with the Indianapolis Colts,” IHSAA Commissioner Paul Neidig said in a statement. “Without the Colts and their support, Indiana high school football wouldn’t be as spectacular as it is on Friday nights in the fall.”
The Colts and IHSAA have also notably partnered on a Girls Flag Football Pilot League, an eight-team league featuring teams from Indianapolis and South Bend.
The IHSAA said they have a “long-term goal” of making girls flag football a sanctioned sport.
