Douglass scores 11, but Peru pulls away in 2nd half to beat Caston

Peru 44, Caston 33 (Tuesday): Madi Douglass scored 11 points, but Peru held Caston to 21 percent shooting and forced 18 turnovers in earning a home win Tuesday.

Freshman Allison Craig had 10 rebounds, and Kaitie Hutsell and Douglass had six rebounds each. Freshmen Grace Colvin and Gigi Berry had four rebounds each.

Caston held a 39-28 rebounding advantage.

Caston made just two of 17 3-point tries. Colvin had both makes.

Caston lost despite making more free throws (nine) than Peru attempted (eight).

Addie Robbins hit three 3-pointers and scored 15 points to lead Peru.

Peru led 21-18 at halftime and extended the lead to 28-23 after three quarters.
