Girls basketball
North Miami 48, Caston 36 (Thursday): Madi Douglass scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for a double-double and also had a team-high four steals, but the Caston girls basketball team suffered a Hoosier North road loss to North Miami Thursday.
Kylee Logan made two of three from 3-point range, but the rest of the team went 0 for 14 from behind the arc.
Caston went 8 for 15 from the foul line while North Miami was 10 for 13.
Caston fell to 7-13 and finished conference play 3-5. North Miami is 12-9, 6-2.
Kayden Donaldson scored a game-high 23 points for the Lady Warriors.
North Miami led 20-18 at halftime and extended the lead to 32-24 after three quarters.
North Miami also beat Caston 56-35 on Dec. 28 in the Miami County Invitational consolation game.
