Culver boys basketball roundup: Jackson scores 8 in loss to Frontier

Boys basketball

Frontier 72, Culver 22 (Saturday): Braylon Jackson scored eight points, but Culver lost to host Frontier Saturday to fall to 1-9.

Jonas McCuen and Jordan Green had four points each, and Caleb McCuen, Adam Peterson and John Carr had two each.

Frontier (6-5) led 28-9 at halftime and stretched the lead to 55-11 after three quarters.


Caston 55, Culver 28 (Jan. 10):

Lane Hook scored 17 of his game-high 23 points in the first half for Caston in a Hoosier North road win over Culver on Jan. 10. Logan Mollenkopf had 11.

Braylon Jackson scored 17 points to lead Culver, who fell to 1-8, 0-3.

Caleb McCuen had six, John Carr had three, and Jonas McCuen had two.

Caston led 31-13 at halftime.

South Central led 13-11 after one quarter before scoring 32 unanswered points from the start of the second quarter through the end of the third.
