Valparaiso University men’s swimmer Carson Parker has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week.
In a dual meet at Cleveland State, Parker was third in the 100 freestyle in 49.32 seconds and fourth in the 50 freestyle in 22.22 seconds. He also swam a 21.25 for the anchor leg on the 200 medley relay and swam a leg on Valparaiso’s 200 freestyle relay.
Parker is a 2024 Tippecanoe Valley grad.
Miller wins Runner of the Week
Manchester University freshman Chesnee Miller has been named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Runner of the Week twice this season.
Miller won the award after running a 23:34 over 6K and finishing 19th at the Grizzly Invitational on Sept. 7. She was the top HCAC finisher in the race by over a minute.
Miller won the award again after running a 23:02 at the Gil Dodds Meet on Sept. 21.
Miller’s Gil Dodds time is the 14th best in school history.
Miller is a 2024 Valley grad.
Blickenstaff gets 1,000th kill
Ohio Christian University senior volleyball player Madison Blickenstaff recorded her 1,000th kill in a 25-22, 25-17, 25-23 loss to Oberlin College Tuesday.
She had seven kills and three blocks for the match.
Blickenstaff is a 2021 Pioneer grad.
Brooke reaches 1,500 career assists
Purdue Northwest senior volleyball setter Olivia Brooke notched her 1,500th career assist in a 25-13, 25-16, 25-20 road loss to Ferris State Saturday.
Brooke had 13 assists for the match and now has 1,509 for her career.
Brooke is a 2021 Pioneer grad.
