Argos 40, Pioneer 35 (Saturday): Morgyn Barcus scored 11 of her 16 points in the fourth quarter, and Ellie Bollenbacher added 15 for the visiting Lady Dragons as they stopped Pioneer’s nine-game winning streak at The Cage Saturday.

Leah Pizzuto added seven for Argos, who improved to 6-13 overall and finished Hoosier North play 2-6. The win was Argos’ first over a team with a winning record.

Makenna Strycker scored a game-high 19 for Pioneer (10-8, 3-3). Strycker scored 15 of Pioneer’s 17 points in the second half.

Pioneer led 18-16 at halftime, but Argos took a 27-22 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Ellie Bollenbacher poured in 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and Alydiah Leed added 13 for the Lady Dragons in a Hoosier North road loss to O-D Thursday.

Leed made all three of Argos’ 3-pointers.

Trinity Vaszari scored 16 points, Gabriella Kraise had 15, and Sarah Thompson had 11 for O-D.

O-D led 25-4 after one quarter and extended the lead to 39-15 at halftime.

O-D made more free throws (11) than Argos attempted (8).
