Triton 34, Argos 28 (OT, Saturday): Lizzy Edmonds scored 11 points, including all three Argos points in overtime on free throws, but the Lady Dragons dropped the Class 1A, Sectional 50 final to Triton at the Bobcat Den at Oregon-Davis Saturday.
Madi VanDerWeele hit a pair of 3-pointers in the second quarter and had nine. Sydney Shepherd hit two treys and had six, and Emma Dunlap scored two.
Argos made more free throws (6) than Triton attempted (5).
Kinsey Atkins hit three 3-pointers and scored a game-high 13 for Triton, including five of their nine points in the extra period.
Argos led 16-14 at halftime. The game was tied at 21 after three quarters and 25 after regulation.
Argos finished the season 9-11. They have not won a sectional since 2017. They lost a sectional game to Triton for the first time since 2014.
Triton won their first sectional title in 10 years and will meet No. 13 Fort Wayne Blackhawk at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Caston in a regional semifinal.

Argos 57, Culver 38 (Friday): Lizzy Edmonds and Madi VanDerWeele scored 12 points each, and Samantha Redinger hit three 3-pointers and added nine for Argos in a Class 1A, Sectional 50 semifinal at Oregon-Davis Friday.
Carleigh Miller also made two 3-pointers and had six. Emma Dunlap also had six.
Grace Sieber scored eight of her 11 points in the second half to lead Culver. Baleigh Binkley and Maddie Shedrow had seven points each.
Shedrow had scored in double figures in six consecutive games prior to Friday. She also scored 16 against Argos in a 41-26 loss on Jan. 11, but Argos held her without a field goal in the second half.
Argos led 14-2 after one quarter and 26-16 at halftime.
Argos has beaten Culver nine straight times, including sectional games in 2016 and 2018. They have not lost to Culver since November 2014.
Culver has never beaten Argos in a sectional game in the class basketball era (since 1998).
In the other semifinal, Taren Yates scored 15 points for Triton in a 46-20 win over LaCrosse.
