Argos gets bye, will face LaVille; Valley gets bye, to play Plymouth

The Rochester and Oregon-Davis girls soccer teams have one win combined this season, but they are guaranteed another win after finding out they will play each other in the sectional, per the IHSAA draw released Sunday.
Sectionals week is scheduled for Oct. 7-12. Regional semifinals are Oct. 16, regional finals are Oct. 19, semistates are Oct. 26, and the state finals are Nov. 1-2 at Michael Carroll Stadium on the IU Indianapolis campus.
Sectional tickets are $7 per session. The IHSAA will no longer offer sectional season tickets.
Here is a look at how the draw played out for the four area teams:
Rochester, Argos, Culver
Rochester is 1-7-3, and Oregon-Davis is 0-6. They will meet in a Class 1A, Sectional 36 quarterfinal at Argos.
The Lady Bobcats, a first-year member of the Hoosier North, have been outscored 42-0 in their six games.
Rochester scored only five goals all of last season when they went winless, but they have 15 goals already this season.
The O-D-Rochester winner will play the Manchester-Culver winner in the semifinals.
Culver is 11-2 and coming off a 5-0 win over Taylor on Saturday. Star freshman Ava McCune has scored 38 goals on the season.
Manchester is 7-6, though they have won four straight since a 3-6 start. They have won their last four games by a 29-1 margin.
Meanwhile, Argos and LaVille received byes and will play each other in the semifinals. Argos is 4-6-1 on the season with one of their wins being a 3-0 triumph over LaVille on Sept. 17.
There is no defending sectional champion in this bracket.
Argos has won 13 sectional titles while the other five schools in the sectional have won five sectional titles combined.
Tippecanoe Valley
The Lady Vikings received a bye and drew Plymouth in a Class 2A, Sectional 21 semifinal at NorthWood.
Valley is 0-10, and they have scored three goals on the season. Valley has regular season games left with Maconaquah Tuesday and Rochester Thursday before the postseason begins.
Plymouth (3-8-2) is coming off a 7-0 loss to Valparaiso Saturday, and they have scored only 12 goals in their 13 games.
In the other half of the bracket, NorthWood will play Culver Academy with the winner to meet Wawasee. At No. 16, NorthWood is the only ranked team in the sectional.
