Tippecanoe Valley def. Rochester, 25-15, 25-22, 25-17 (Monday): Avery Wagoner had 34 assists and went over 2,000 for her career as the host Lady Vikings swept Rochester Monday.
Mackaylie Costello had 13 kills, two blocks and 20 serves received. Gaby Gonzalez had 11 digs, 22 serves received and three aces. Wagoner also had three aces, and Elise Smith also contributed three aces.
Betty Shepherd had 11 kills, and Hadley Wise had 10.
Avarie Montel and Brailyn Hunter had five kills each for Rochester. Aubrey Wilson and Audrey Bolinger had four kills each.
Wilson had nine digs, and Mia Howdeshell had eight.
Wilson led Rochester with 16 assists. Makenna McKee had 15 serves received, and Howdeshell and Lillee Lett had 14 serves received each.
Valley won the season series 2-1. Valley had beaten Rochester in a best-of-three set match at the Tomahawk Invitational at North Miami on Aug. 24, and Rochester beat Valley in a best-of-three match at the Warsaw Invitational on Sept. 28.
Valley, who has already clinched the Indiana Northern State Conference title, improved to 18-12. Rochester dropped to 8-18.
Rochester won the JV match 25-14, 10-25, 15-10.
Valley won the freshman match 31-29, 19-25, 15-5.
