Valley girls incomplete, boys finish 3rd

The John Glenn girls and Bremen boys won cross-country titles at the first Indiana Northern State Conference meet at Tippecanoe Valley Saturday.
Valley had an incomplete girls team. The Valley boys finished third.
The top finishing Valley girl was Bailey Bussard, who was seventh in 22:58. McKenna Lowe was 10th in 24:58, Katie Sterk was 12th in 25:27, and Ava Minix was 15th in 26:18.
Bremen’s Kate Kincaid was the individual champion in 19:51.
In the boys meet, the Valley frontrunner was Christopher Marquez, who was fifth in 18:49. Other Valley runners included Eli Sterk, who was 10th in 19:08; Isaac Whetstone, who was 14th in 19:27; Luis Nuñez, who was 26th in 20:58; Gavin Leininger, who was 38th in 24:25; Michael Leininger, who was 39th in 24:35; Simeon Skipper, who was 44th in 25:53; and Christian Guzman, who was 46th in 27:10.
Joseph Davis, Matthew Urbina and Benjamin Brady gave Bremen a 1-2-3 finish. The Lions had five of the top nine runners.
