No. 8 Pioneer falls to No. 9 Triton; Winamac scores season high in win over S. Central; Culver falls to North Miami

North Judson 69, Caston 3 (Friday): Drew McGrew kicked a 30-yard field goal in the third quarter, but visiting Caston lost to Class 1A, No. 1 North Judson Friday.
Ashton Bowyer led Caston with 61 yards on 16 carries.
Gavin Mollenlopf completed six of 10 passes for 29 yards and an interception. Logan Mollenlopf had three catches for 30 yards.
Tucker Woolever led the defense with eight tackles. Jabez Yarber had five tackles. Gage Minniear, Logan Mollenkopf and Parker Zimpleman had three tackles each.
North Judson led 55-0 at halftime. Caston has never defeated North Judson.

Triton 28, Pioneer 21 (Friday): Micah Rans ran for 153 yards and a touchdown and also threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Carter Mize for Class 1A, No. 8 Pioneer in a Hoosier North road loss to Class 1A, No. 9 Triton Friday.
Noah VanMeter also ran 20 times for 121 yards and a score.
Mize led Pioneer with four receptions for 35 yards, including a 5-yard touchdown catch with 22 seconds left.
Triton jumped out to a 14-0 lead after one quarter and never trailed. They led 14-7 at halftime.
J.J. Solano led the defense with 15 tackles, and Eli Guffey had 10 tackles, including 4.5 for loss. VanMeter had eight tackles, Jason Gluth had seven, and Blair Burns and Cole Franklin had six each.
Both teams are 6-2 overall and 5-1 in the Hoosier North. North Judson clinched a share of the conference title Friday. They can clinch it outright with a win at Pioneer this Friday.

North Miami 61, Culver 26 (Friday): Jonas McCuen threw for 245 yards and four touchdowns, but the Cavaliers suffered a Hoosier North home loss to North Miami Friday.
North Miami led 46-20 at halftime, and Lake Musall added two touchdown runs in the third quarter. Hartley Hoover’s two-point conversion run in the third quarter gave North Miami a 35-point lead and triggered the running clock, per the IHSAA Mercy Rule.
McCuen threw two touchdown passes each to David Hite and Caleb McCuen. Hite finished with four catches for 113 yards, and Caleb McCuen had five catches for 102 yards, including a 77-yard touchdown. Braylon Jackson had two catches for 22 yards.
North Miami had a 408-80 advantage in rushing yards. Hoover completed only one pass, but it went to Ryan Meredith for a 53-yard touchdown in the second quarter to give North Miami a 43-20 lead.
Each team committed three turnovers.

Winamac 50, South Central (Union Mills) 12 (Friday): Addison Allen ran for 63 yards and two touchdowns, and Ethan Burgess ran for a touchdown and caught a touchdown pass for Winamac in a Hoosier North home win over South Central at Roudebush Field Friday.
Winamac took advantage of five Satellite turnovers.
Xavier Adriano returned to the lineup and completed five of six passes for 92 yards and two touchdowns, and he also had 69 yards rushing on five attempts.
Hank Haschel, an offensive lineman, had his first career touchdown run after taking a lateral from Adriano, and Ivan Cardenas had his first career touchdown on a 34-yard reception from Adriano on a fourth-and-17 play in the fourth quarter.
Tearson Wolford added 34 yards and a touchdown in six carries. Aiden Schooler contributed 39 yards of total offense and six tackles on defense.
Allen, Burgess and Michael Shidler each had an interception. Alex Stonebraker recovered a fumble, and Jager Terry recovered a fumbled kickoff.
Winamac led 44-6 at halftime, and the second half was played with a running clock, per the IHSAA Mercy Rule.
