Boys soccer
Argos senior Ethan Petz and North Miami senior Ray Pickett were named Hoosier North co-MVPs in voting done by the conference’s coaches and released to the media Monday.
Petz was tied for third on the team with 11 goals and also dished out a team-high 14 assists. Teammates Ben Zahm, Luke Stults and Kenyan Beldon joined Petz on the all-conference first team. Junior Corbin Rex was named honorable mention all-conference.
Caston seniors Brock Hook and Jan Aguilar-Mendez and sophomore Drew McGrew also made the first team.
Sophomore Sean Stark was the lone Winamac player to make the first team. Sophomore teammate Jaybin Hines earned honorable mention.
Kael Buschman was the only Culver player to make the first team, and he was one of only two freshmen – North Miami’s Brady Coppler was the other – to make the first team.
Argos won the conference crown with a 5-0 record. Caston was second at 4-1.
